In a landmark initiative to foster inclusive education, the City College of Cagayan de Oro, through its ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐น๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ (๐๐๐ฆ), successfully hosted an orientation seminar entitled "๐๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ: ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ข๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป" on April 25, 2025 via Zoom.
The event brought together key figures in the field of ALS from across Northern Mindanao, reinforcing the institutionโs commitment to accessible, equitable, and flexible learning opportunities for all.

These experts shared insights on effective ALS implementation, community engagement strategies, and the transformative impact of non-formal education in empowering out-of-school youth and adults (OSYAs).
The program was facilitated by ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ, Director of Extension and Outreach of the City College, and ended with a message of support from ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ป๐ถ ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฎ, College President III of the City College of Cagayan de Oro.
The orientation is part of the institutionโs broader mission to align its educational and community extension goals with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
By integrating ALS into its academic and extension services, the City College reaffirms its role as a catalyst for inclusive growth and lifelong learning in the region.
