The City College of Cagayan de Oro proudly celebrates the achievements of our esteemed faculty and staff during the 2025 International Research Conference organized by the National Organization of Science Teachers and Educators (NOSTE), Inc., held at the University of Southeastern Philippines, Davao City on April 29-30, 2025.

Our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Jonathan A. Madronero, Vice President for UNLI Research, Innovation, and Creative Enterprise, for receiving the following distinctions— First Place for Best Paper Award and Third Place for Best Oral Presenter— of his study entitled Unveiling Statistical Power: The Interplay of Effect Size and Sample Size.”

We also commend Mr. Jason Herrera together with his research team, Ken Andrea Banogon, Zyra Labial, Joshua Daniel Mabayo, Jessamae Joy Obsioma, and Engr. Raymond Ray Saldua for their significant accomplishments— Second Place for Best Oral Presenter and Third Place for Best Paper Award— for their study entitled “Motorcycle-Mounted Hybrid Wind and Solar Powered Mobile Charger.”

Moreover, we express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Ray Butch Mahinay, Dr. Joel D. Potane, and Ms. Andrea Alexa Joan Ermino for their invaluable contributions as co-researchers in the collaborative paper entitled “College Students’ Digital Collages as Expressions of SDG 11 and Sustainable Futures,” which was presented online during the same international conference.

These remarkable achievements not only reflect the individual excellence and innovation of our faculty and staff but also reflects the City College of Cagayan de Oro’s commitment to advancing research, empowering collaboration, and promoting a culture of academic excellence.
