The City College of Cagayan de Oro participated in the full-blown Proposal Development Writeshop organized by the Northern Mindanao Consortium for Health Research and Development (NorMinCoHRD) and Northern Mindanao Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (NorMinCIEERD). It was held on April 28–29, 2025, at New Dawn Hotel Plus, Cagayan de Oro City.
Representing the City College of Cagayan de Oro at the writeshop were Dr. Ray Butch D. Mahinay, Dr. Joel D. Potane, Mr. Fhel Feliciano, Ms. Jeany Manlunas, and Mr. Mark Janubas. Joining the team was Mr. Temoteo L. Chavez, CPA, MGM, from the City Economic Enterprises and Business Development Administration (CEEBDA) of the LGU-Cagayan de Oro City.
The said partnership further strengthens the collaboration between the academic and local government sectors. The two-day writeshop aimed to equip researchers with the necessary tools and guidance to transform their approved concept papers into full-blown research proposals ready for funding and implementation.
Through this initiative, the City College of Cagayan de Oro reaffirms its strong engagement in research that addresses pressing societal needs in health, industry, energy, and emerging technologies.
