The City College of Cagayan de Oro proudly participated in the recently held Technology Gallery at Initao College on April 10, 2025. With the theme “Utilization and Integration of Technology for Teaching,” the event highlighted creative and effective uses of digital tools in the modern classroom.
Serving as the keynote speaker was Dr. Joel D. Potane, CCCDO’s Research Director, who delivered an inspiring message on the transformative role of educational technology. In his address, Dr. Potane underscored the importance of digital platforms in fostering interactive and student-centered learning.
Also representing CCCDO was Mr. Mark Janubas, Innovation Director, who took part as one of the event judges. He shared practical insights on the integration of technology in education and encouraged participants to embrace innovative strategies in their teaching approaches.
The event was organized by the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) students of Initao College, under the guidance of Ms. Terence Katherine Stephanie R. Gapol, LPT, MM-EM. Highlights included live demonstrations of digital teaching platforms and educational simulations, as well as a tarpaulin-making contest that showcased the creative talents of student participants.
This collaborative initiative is set to foster meaningful exchanges among aspiring educators and will continue to strengthen the shared commitment of both City College of CDO and Initao College to advancing the use of technology in education.
