On April 2, 2025, the City College of Cagayan de Oro conducted a productive benchmarking visit to Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) as part of its commitment to strengthen institutional practices and develop innovative strategies across key operational areas.

The CCCDO delegation was composed of Directors from the Office for Lifelong Learning and Professional Development, the Quality Assurance and Planning Office, and the Promotions and Communications Office. The group was welcomed warmly by AdDU officials and engaged in a series of insightful and collaborative discussions with several of the university’s key offices.

The visit focused on four (4) major offices within Ateneo de Davao University, namely: Ateneo de Davao Academy of Lifelong Learning, Office of Strategic Management and Quality Assurance, Institutional Promotions and Communications Office, and Ateneo Internalization for Mindanao Office / Pathways to Advancement Office.

Throughout the visit, CCCDO and AdDU teams exchanged best practices on quality assurance, institutional promotions, partnerships building, and lifelong learning. The host offices shared valuable insights into their strategies, operational systems, and tools that support effective academic and administrative processes. In addition to the conducted exploratory meetings, the delegation was given a guided tour of AdDU’s facilities and operational offices.

The CCCDO team also had the privilege of paying a courtesy visit to Fr. Karel San Juan, S.J., President of Ateneo de Davao University. This allowed CCCDO representatives to see how AdDU applies its systems and practices to support learning and operations.

This benchmarking visit is an important step in CCCDO’s goal to continue improving its services and academic programs. Learning from an established university like AdDU helps CCCDO gain new ideas and insights that can be applied as the college grows and develops as a leading LGU-run higher education institution.
