On March 14, 2025, Xavier University Libraries generously donated 1,060 volumes of books to the City College of Cagayan de Oro during the Book Turnover and Benchmarking Activity. This significant contribution brings the college closer to meeting the required minimum library holdings for institutions granted Government Recognition from CHED, ensuring better access to quality resources for students and faculty.
The CCCDO team was led by Dr. Ma. Aira Chenessa B. Aguilar, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Kurt S. Candilas, Vice President for Administration; and Dr. Melody R. Agcito, Head of the College Library Services Office, along with selected directors and staff. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Rule P. Redondo, Library Director of Xavier University, and the Xavier University Libraries team.
The event included an overview of library resources, services, and facilities presented by Ms. Eloiza P. Tagarda, as well as an orientation on e-Library USA led by Dr. Estrella Cabudoy.
The City College of Cagayan de Oro extends its heartfelt gratitude to Xavier University Libraries for their generosity and unwavering commitment to supporting academic excellence. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Jestoni P. Babia, President of City College of Cagayan de Oro, and Hon. Mayor Rolando "Klarex" A. Uy for their continuous support and dedication to strengthening education in the city.
