The Office for Research, Innovation, and Creative Enterprise (RICE), led by Vice President Professor Jonathan A. Madronero, convened on November 15, 2024, for its 2025 Planning Session at the VP for RICE Office.
Attended by RICE Directors and representatives from the Colleges of Teacher Education, Arts and Sciences, and Technical Skills and Technology Institute, the session outlined strategic objectives, including:
Renaming the office to UNLI RICE to reflect its expanded scope. Forming research consortia with LGU-led colleges. Planning the November 29, 2024, Consortia Meeting at CCCDO. Under the leadership of Directors Dr. Joel D. Potane (Research), Mr. Mark P. Janubas (Innovation), and Dr. Jean T. Loquillano (Creative Works), RICE is set to strengthen partnerships and foster collaborative efforts in research, innovation, and creative endeavors across academic institutions and communities.
