There are a total of 𝟏𝟎𝟓 𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 from the said barangays which shows many are interested in gaining new skills and making their lives better.

The Student Affairs and Services recently conducted "𝐒𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐬 𝐌𝐨: 𝐀 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭" with 𝐌𝐬. 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐀. 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨, a Certified Financial Advisor, which was a highly informative and insightful event.

It was specifically designed for the 1st Quarter Trainees of the 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 to provide them with the basic knowledge and skills they need to manage their finances effectively.

One of the key takeaways from the symposium was the importance of saving and investing for the future. Ms. Pillo emphasized that even small amounts of money, when invested wisely, can grow over time and help individuals achieve their financial goals.

The symposium was also graced by the 𝐕𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐁. 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 who reminded the trainees to invest in their skills and hobbies, make a profit from the things they have learned.

The CDOCTVI conducted a 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝟏-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐈 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 for the forty-two (42) pre-registrants, who were then given certificates after successfully completing the training.

On the other hand, 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 "𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐱" 𝐔𝐲 proudly introduced during his message, the sixteen (16) pioneering trainees who will undergo a six-month technical training in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

On February 06, 2023, the CDOC-TVI held 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐝: 𝐀 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐓. 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐩 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬' 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 at the City Council Session Hall in Cagayan de Oro City. Jumpstarting the event, CDOC-TVI awarded a plaque of appreciation to our partners, the WTC Foundation, Inc. and MORESCO-1 for their tech-voc scholarship program granted to 25 trainees of the institution.

The program was attended by the Chairman of the Education Committee, 𝘏𝘰𝘯. 𝘚𝘶𝘻𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘢𝘫𝘢𝘴- 𝘋𝘢𝘣𝘢; the President of the Board of Trustees of WTC Foundation, 𝘔𝘳. 𝘈𝘭𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘉𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘴; Representative of the Executive Director of WTC Foundation, 𝘔𝘴. 𝘈𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘰; Community Development Officer of MORESCO-1, 𝘔𝘳. 𝘙𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦 𝘝𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘻, President of Member Consumer Owners' Organization of Barangay Carmen, 𝘔𝘴. 𝘔𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘫𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘯; and the 25 Scholars of the foundation.

Through the said event, CDOC-TVI aims to continue the partnership with the foundation and assist more Kagay-anons with their tech-voc training.

NEW QUARTER, A FRESH START.

The Cagayan de Oro City Technical Vocational Institute (CDOC-TVI) through its Student Affairs and Services welcomed a new batch of trainees for the first quarter of 2023.

Through the Orientation-Seminar held last January 16, 2023, the trainees were warmly welcomed by CDOC-TVI's Vocational School Administrator III, Maria Victoria B. Trinidad, introduced to the processes of the institution, and to the future awaiting them at the end of training.

CDOC-TVI Goes to Barangay Balubal!

On January 12 and 13, 2023, the CDOC-TVI, through its Linkages and Partnerships Division, opened its doors to the residents of Barangay Balubal through a Barangay Caravan in an effort to serve more Out-of-School Youth and Kagay-anons who seek to gain new skills.

There are a total of 62 pre-registrants from the said barangay which shows many are interested in gaining new skills and making their lives better.

Strengthening Partnerships: CDOC-TVI and TESDA Collaboration

In order to strengthen the partnership between CDOCT-TVI and the TESDA, its Misamis Oriental Provincial Director, Dir. Marigold Cherie R. Garrido, visited the institution on January 04, 2023, to deliver and receive updates on the current programs as well as future plans of CDOC-TVI, specifically the expansion of its campus to Barangay Kauswagan and the additional qualifications that will be made available in 2023.

With this, a continued partnership between CDOC-TVI and TESDA is ensured for the year 2023 in hopes of making more lives better through technical vocational education and skills acquisition.
