City College of Cagayan de Oro successfully conducted its first 2-day Book Fair on July 2-3, 2024, at the Agusan Annex Campus, led by Dr. Melody R. Agcito, a registered librarian. The fair aimed to enhance the library's collection to meet CHED standards in preparation for the upcoming school year. Featuring a diverse range of book exhibitors and engaging activities, the event was designed to enrich the library's resources and support the institution's educational goals.

The book fair began with an opening ceremony attended by book exhibitors and City College of CDO's administrators, faculty, and staff. Dr. Jestoni P. Babia, Interim President, greeted the attendees and emphasized the importance of providing future students with easily accessible, relevant resources to ensure quality education.

Ten (10) esteemed book companies participated in the fair, showcasing their diverse and comprehensive collections. Among them, C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions, Rex Bookstore, and SNEV Merchandise made generous donations, significantly advancing the goal of acquiring a minimum of 3,000 titles for the library.
Meanwhile, the other seven (7) exhibitors—Belview Co. Inc., EESM Bookstore, Linar International Book Resources Inc., Mindshapers Co. Inc., Mindtools Inc., Mutya Publishing, and P&R Book Trading—contributed to the fair with their valuable book selections.
Over the two days, college deans and faculty from the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Education carefully selected books that will enhance students' learning in alignment with the institution’s curriculum. Additionally, librarians and staff from the City Public Library participated, ensuring a wide range of selections for students.

City College of Cagayan de Oro extends its gratitude to all exhibitors and visitors for their participation and for making the first Book Fair a success.
